National Memorial Remembrance Arboretum

in Alrewas, took 9 months to complete and was finished in time as well as to budget. Comprising 14 roofs, and including three plant rooms, the complexity of the project rendered it very demanding. The roofing package completed by Maincare Roofing was part of a £15.7 million project. This is our most prestigious project to date.

We commenced work in December 2015, just in time for Christmas, and resumed work after the Christmas break. The project was finally completed in July 2016.

Materials used included the following:

Trocal Type S, 2.00mm in slate grey

Trocal Type SGK, 2.00mm in slate grey

Trocal Type SGma, 2.00mm Beige, ballasted with slabs

Three thickness of insulation were installed as well as a tapered scheme:

50mm, 100mm and 140mm.

Three plant rooms were completed in Sika Trocal Type SGma and finished with concrete slabs. All three plant rooms featured two metre high upstands and apertures which allowed access to higher roofs.
