Sainsbury's Store, Newquay - 2013

Perhaps one of our most challenging projects to date.

Working with Longcross Construction to recover 2064sm of Sika Trocal Type S on a live store. 

Many of the services sat low to the substrate and could not be decommissioned or turned off therefore we had to come up with a bespoke solution or two. Attention to detail was imperative throughout the project from start to finish.

Completed in  6 weeks, we received a fantastic review and we were runner up in the NFRC awards.

A sea side, exposed cliff location demanded a robust roofing solution to withstand potentially severe weather condition and a timescale to suit.  The store continued trading whilst  Maincare carried out our works to the roof.

Challenges included recovering the roof whilst air conditioners, freezer and heating units, housed on the roof, continued to run 24 hours a day so as not to disrupt the customer experience.

The roof was finished in Sika Trocal Type S in light grey.
